Then the computer would freeze and have to restart. After installing my imac recognized it but it slowed down my computer significantly. Some programs would take minutes to start up and then would run very slowly, lagging a lot. Upon restart, my imac made a loud beeping noise and would not start. After removing the memory stick my computer was back to normal.
